September – Watersports & Activities at the Oolderplas
Join The Expat Club on Sunday, September 7 for a fun and active afternoon at one of Roermond’s hidden gems: the Oolderplas! From 15:00 to 18:00, we’ll be at Windsurfcenter Roermond, a scenic spot just outside the city center.
Discover the green and sporty side of Roermond with a variety of watersports – all free and professionally supervised. Try kayaking, canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, or team up on a giant 8-person SUP board. Life jackets are available for both kids and adults, and all equipment is provided.
Children are very welcome – we’ll even have on-site childcare so everyone can enjoy the day. Prefer to stay dry? Relax on the adjacent beach and soak up the late summer vibes.
We’ll start at 15:00 with a warm welcome, a brief introduction, a tasty snack, and a complimentary drink. Around 15:15, John, the owner of Windsurfcenter Roermond, will give a short talk about the location and activities.
From 16:00 to 18:00, it’s time to head out on the water and explore the Oolderplas at your own pace. To wrap things up, we’ll treat everyone to a refreshing ice cream before heading home.
The Windsurfcenter is just a 10 to 15-minute bike ride from downtown Roermond. Don’t forget your swimwear, towel, sunscreen, a cap, and a bottle of water.
Spots are limited, so sign up quick – once it’s full, it’s full. We look forward to seeing you there!
In case of bad weather, the event will be moved to Sunday, September 14.
